The 79th Independence Day of the Nation was celebrated at PMCH with much enthusiasm and fervor as it was the 1st Independence Day celebration by the Institute since its inception. The Flag was Hoisted by the Principal Cum Chief Superintendent Professor (Dr) B.K. Baishya in the presence of the Faculties, Nursing Staffs and other staffs of the institute. The Principal in his address to the gatherings mentioned about the role of the various health professionals, the innumerable numbers of unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. That, all of us need to contribute in our own ways in the Nation Building was emphasized by sincerely doing our duties. It was followed by the the taking of the PLEDGE of "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" and cultural performances by the faculties of PMCH and family members of the Staffs of PMCH. Senior faculties also shared their thoughts with the gathering.
